I don't see that being the case here. If the UK wants to get in the habit of bailing out pension funds every time their investments don't pay off they could end up doing a lot of bailouts. I do think it is fair for the UK to object to the US dismantling a company simply for political reasons. I don’t believe that is what is happening right now but it is a legitimate concern.
