sure Australia did make them look good for most of it, but even still the Germans played some nice football. Lahm was progressive, that Uzil looked clever. Too soon to tout them for winners, but i wouldn't bet against them.
Australia though will now struggle to come out of the group stages. Losing Cahill is a major blow, a horrible decision from the ref. Neil and Moore look slooooow and credit to them for still getting forward in towards the end there's not much guile to their play, not enough creativity going forward.

Germany definitely seem much better than expected, but I can't for the life of me work out how much better, that's how bad Australia were. Their next group games will be interesting to see.
