Actually, the one very unusual thing was the way that towards the end Spain stopped being very Spain-like and somehow, dare we say it, reverted to England's panic tactics: hoof it into the box and hope for the best. (Unsurprisingly the English commentators seemed to think Jesus Navas had a wonderful effect on the team when he came on because he ran around a lot and kept booting the ball. I'm not saying he didn't offer potential chances but good grief)

I've no doubt that they'll be back, but we may just be looking at Spain vs Brazil much earlier than expected, which is excellent news.
