What would you call that, a checkers set?

Anyways, two missing pieces, one red and one black. They were then replaced for me by a pair of poker chips.

I'm trying to decide whether my family was so destitute that I could get an NES when I was four, and an SNES when I was seven, yet my parents couldn't spring for a new set of checkers pieces. Or if I'm just crazy, and of course there's supposed to be two pieces that are bigger than all of the others and are obviously not really of the same set.

Hmm... Checkers pieces? Checkers discs? Plastic pancakes?

Also! On a completely unrelated subject, text messages. I have, a few times, when being given advice from a girl friend regarding asking a girl out, been told to "send her a cute text".

So what constitutes a cute text?

My brain is unable to process that particular idea. Also, I have a feeling that "Brad trying to be cute" is as creepy as "Brad trying to be funny" is lame.
