I may not be one to talk, since I'm a bit socially challenged myself, but many of the stories (from irritants and irritated alike) just show how the internet can emphasize interpersonal weaknesses. The weaknesses (oversensitivity, narcissism) were already there; they just become a lot more obvious when you express them in writing. The flip side of that is the increased self-awareness when people start ignoring you.

Incidentally, I'd really like you to join my kolkhoz on Facebook. It's a gaming app fairly similar to Harvest Moon, but much simpler and not very time-consuming (there's only so much to do each day). I think you'd find it cute. Another person I know joined only after much pleading, but now is tending his crops with much enthusiasm. Anyway, yeah, I'm still only sending an invitation if you promise not to kill me.
