But, while I'd have said there are no UNIVERSAL rules, yeah, just reinforces the point: It's a VERY popular form of game the world over, hence every locale has at least one variation of its own. Capture the flag is very similar in many respects, except you must simultaneously defend one object and attempt capture of another, which is placed in your goal rather than the oppositions. It doesn't even need to be a ball (though there's no reason it can't)
