Can iPods only accept songs via download? Joel Send a noteboard - 08/09/2009 01:08:49 PM
As a true believer in the album experience this is a phenomenon I've long observed. Indeed, the ability to put CD players on random, or omit selected tracks in seconds, started the trend, but either way it predates mainstream internet access.

How ever did the iPod predate mainstream internet access, considering that the only reason it was successful was the music store associated with it?

If so, my mistake; I never wanted one and the whole business of randomly shuffling through every mediocre one hit wonder known to band hoping Zeppelin or Floyd will come up every now and then killed any interest I might have had.
