If you only learn automatic, that rules out three quarters of all cars right then and there in here, so um, not a smart move. And when I see how much trouble my mother is having now with serious cars when she's only driven automatic so far... I'll just go for the real thing from the start, thank you very much.

I probably wouldn't have ever had to learn to drive a "real car," if not for good friends, so I look at it differently.:P Even in an emergency situation, it's unlikely I'd have to hop in someone's car and find it's a manual trans.
