Here are few samples of what I am talking about. Keep in mind most of these are indie bands so the the style is all over the place.

This is one that stretches the word country

This is more country but you would never hear it on the radio. A lot of the songs tend to be funny like this.

Here is one of may favorite songs in the genre and does a good job showing the mix of rock country and blues.
