Whether or not they made the right move, I don't see how this could have possibly been motivated by anything but a genuine desire to try and tell both sides of a story. Considering their audience and the price in controversy and lost readers/listeners that they might have to pay for it.

Of course, motivations aside, this might not have been the best timing and way to handle the situation on their part.
