What are you doing? I thought about being lazy, but it turns out that one of the 300 people I know whose birthdays are in the summer is having a thing tonight. Apparently, it involves mussels and pommes frites and beer.

Nope. I don't do spinny rides. If I want to feel like that I'll drink 2 bottles of wine and at least get some enjoyment/health benefits out of it And I mostly don't do carnival rides either, after sadly gaining an understanding of who is constructing/running them and the level of trust required.
