Nothing else seems to do any good, but this works well. My theory is there's some perhaps subconscious desire for elements the song conjures, elements impossible to recapture with memory alone, but that full immersion in the song if not the past events associated with it revive them and satisfy whatever impulse is making it unshakable at the moment.
