I REALLY Love My BlackBerry.... Joel Send a noteboard - 04/08/2010 10:51:16 PM
Courtesy of a prodigal wotmaniac I'm still trying to seduce for RAFO. If you're tired of your man dozing off first and don't want muddy sheep tracks on the sheets, perhaps THIS will help:

There is such a thing…

…as loving your smartphone too much. When browsing for apps today I came across this here gem of a BlackBerry add-on: PleasureEngine Lite. I kid you not, but I’ve added screenshots to get past the pics or it didn’t happen crowd. This thing is for real and available from BlackBerry App World.

Dodgy name aside, the description sets off all kinds of alarm bells. Maybe I’m not a quite a big enough addict (yet), but it does make me wonder about just what the exact proper use of a smartphone should (or should not) be.

Fully functional!

I’m at a point where I love my BB so much that I swear by it, but I don’t think I am quite ready to, well, make love to it…. It goes a long way towards explaining why some people’s smartphones mysteriously break down, though.

For the true addicts among us there is of course the (paid for) Turbo version of this app--a quick search showed that, no, it’s not some kind of joke. 15 varieties of vibration…. Use wisely.

BlackBerry agrees.

For those who want more.

You Know You’re Addicted When…

Ten tell-tale signs that you should probably, no- definitely, stop touching your BB for a while and get a life. Based on real life experience, in no particular order:

1. When pondering what to wear for the day you reach over and check your weather app of choice instead of looking out the window… and you’re right next to it.

2. You lose all sense of direction when Google Maps stops working, and proceed to throw insulting terms at your pet apparatus until it graces you with functionality once more. You spend five minutes cursing away right in front of your destination as a result.

3. Tabloid-sized newspaper? Why bother if you have a tiny screen and the TIME magazine app?

4. You’ve checked the score of a World Cup match on your World Cup app… whilst watching the game. 1 – 0? BlackBerry agrees.

5. Social networking starts feeling like an actually enjoyable activity. Hello, dusty old Facebook account, meet my shiny new app.

6. If there’s no app for it, then it’s probably not important.

7. Your sexy new smartphone has its own spot in bed, somewhere suspiciously close to the pillow. Your boyfriend needs to understand that and make room for it.

8. Browsing for new apps is a perfectly valid pastime, especially because it’s another reason to bring out the shiny.

9. BB or iPhone? Who cares, Antenna-gate is the most exciting part of your life either way.

10. You are in fact guilty of uttering the phrases “there’s an app for that” and/or “BlackBerry agrees” on a regular basis. (Or worse yet, you dedicate a blog to one and update it exclusively via BlackBerry app.)

Above statements all sad but completely true.

Consumers agree. Last quarter was the first in a long time that anyone outsold BB for smartphones. - 05/08/2010 12:32:37 AM 285 Views
