I've just realised I've only bought three new albums this year, and I would like to rectify this dire situation. So does anyone want to make a few suggestions? Any kind of music will be considered.


I try to avoid getting into metal genre battles, since I like a little bit from everything, but here are a few:

Solution .45 - For Aeons Past
Dark Tranquillity - We are the Void
As I Lay Dying - Powerless Rise
Kalmah - 12 Gauge
Soilwork - Panic Broadcast
Silent Civilian - Ghost Stories
Parkway Drive - Deep Blue
36 Crazyfists - Collisions & Castaways
Periphery - Periphery
Veil of Maya - [id]
Deftones - Diamond Eyes
Alesana - Emptiness

Most are pretty good. A lot came out the end of 2009, but I tried to restrict it to 2010. Recent releases, i'm checking out now - Acacia Strain: Wormwood, The Eyes of a Traitor: Breathless.

I'm really excited about the new Volbeat album, coming out 9/10/10. They're more rock than metal, but I love them and their last album was great.

Mainstream metal had new albums from Bullet for My Valentine and Avenged Seven Fold this year, but I haven't gone there yet. I'm slightly embarassed that I still like both these bands. :D
