It might very well be that their relationship is platonic right now (and she might even want it to be that way) but I'd be exceedingly surprised if he didn't have an interest in more

To be honest, given how much he's putting up with, if he isn't getting laid out of this then his friendship and hospitality is really being abused. And I'm pretty sure he's not getting laid.
