Actually, the Pope has the right to say "sorry, you're not a Catholic anymore". Dragonsoul Send a noteboard - 05/09/2010 08:43:34 PM
It's called excommunication. In fact, some Bishops can act as agents of the Church and expel members.

In fact, sometimes the Church will excommunicate whole communities. In the last ten years, all members of the Community of the Lady of All Nations were excommunicated by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops.

As well, all members of the group Call to Action from Nebraska were excommunicated by the Bishop there. All within the last ten years. There's a list of notable individuals excommunicated by the Church at the link.

I suggest you actually learn something about a topic before you speak about it. I dare say, your entire rant was an example of extreme ignorance and stupidity.
Still excommunicating in the 21st century, baby!

Inaction, like, for example, not saving lives where you could have is also grounds for expulsion. - 06/09/2010 06:35:31 PM 857 Views
