Dismas is a Saint? Joel Send a noteboard - 07/09/2010 12:08:45 PM
Well thank god you aren't the pope for you don't seem to understand the church purpose on this planet is to help create a communion between man and god, not to reshape this world in one's image. The devil took the son of god up to the great mountain and showed him the entire world saying this could all be yours, but instead the son of man said no I will not take this path instead I will follow the path of my lord, I will follow the Path to Calvary.

Even Peter was giving a second chance. In addition consider the story of the Penitent Thief (Saint Dismas) one of the few men that Jesus said would reside with him in Paradise. Saint Dismas was a horrible sort, a man who according to lore was a thief, murderer, and even killed his brother (performed fratricide) making him no better than the vile Cain, yet even God forgave such a man.

Neat; didn't know that.

Inaction, like, for example, not saving lives where you could have is also grounds for expulsion. - 06/09/2010 06:35:31 PM 796 Views
Hmm, but I think that's a different type of inaction than the kind he's discussing - 06/09/2010 08:02:50 PM 1114 Views
