I didn't know anything was happening until my older brother called me and said that a plane had flown into the WTC, and while he was watching/talking to me the 2nd plane came in. I made some flip remark about how some ATC was going to be losing their job over this and he quietly said, "um...they don't think this is an accident."

He narrated what was happening for a while and said when he picked up the phone it was actually to call our Grandma, before remembering she had died 4 months before :(
