That's rather odd... but it makes sense if you studied in Europe to pick up Spanish Spanish. I'm not sure why Aussie Spanish classes wouldn't teach Mexican variants though. ;)

Well. I suspect it's down to who was available in Freezing Cold Dunedin. ;)
