This isn't really related to the bridal shower, it was a separate proejct, but I remember b/c I spent the bridal shower taking pictures of guests...

So basically she asked people for pictures, recipes, advice, family stories... collective wisdom passed down the generations from mother to daughter. People sent in their old wedding pictures, very neat stuff. Then she scanned it in and put it together - so underneath each person's photo that they sent (or a picture that I took of them if they didn't sent a photo) was the text - and if they didn't give anything, we used the wishes they wrote in the cards they gave on bridal shower/wedding. In the end, it was a very nice gift.

You can do a version of that during the shower - let people write wishes, and also have disposable cameras.


I think I shall provide them scrapbook stuff and have them make a page either for a pic or for wisdom!
