Yeah, my aunt did both of those things: cut cake during apps, and picked a fight with Mom2 because apparently we didn't have coffee "for the old people" ready soon enough to suit her (after going into the house itself and accosting the food assistant people busy with other things). As much as Mom2 is crazy at times, she didn't deserve that.
I'm trying to decide how rude I've just been.
