I will often at least reply to the sender with links for them to check out that their story may be or is false. Someone on facebook de-friended me when I called her on something she said that was slandering someone. I didn't lose any sleep.
I'm trying to decide how rude I've just been.

I've gotten people to take down Facebook notes replicating such emails by posting Snopes links.
