While I may agree with the general proposition that it is not good to take children away from parents as a reflex action, the suggestion that education is needed is absolutely absurd. Even brain-damaged parents know that you shouldn't do this.
Furthermore, taking children away from situations that threaten their lives is a good exception to the general notion that children are better off with their parents. Situations like this come to mind, as do situations when mothers drive cars into lakes with the children inside. Any foster home is better than a coffin.
