I bet China is pissed off now, and I kind of like that.

What worries me is that the main result of this is that China will clamp down harder in dissidents in response.


Yes. I hope that the short term worsening will in fact lead to a long term benefit, though. More obvious brutality leads to more opposition. We'll see.
