Remember, CC was skeptical about coming to NY as well, but when our front office REALLY wants somebody, the player normally ends up signing here since the offer can be overwhelming.

Sadly, he probably will be targeted like CC since Burnett was the expected waste of time and money, Chamberlain is turning into a bust, Hughes killing an average bullpen, the fact that Pettite can't pitch forever and lacking a solid even #5 starter. Pitching is pretty thin in New York... could that be why they're being manhandled by the Rangers?
Anyways, I wouldn't be surprised to see someone outbid the Yankees. There are some teams with pretty low payrolls only missing an Ace type guy...
