There is no motherboard that can accept both socket types. You get 1156 or 1366 not one or the other. Nor is one of these sockets going to last longer than the other, the replacement sockets (1155 and 2011) and new processors will be out next year.
Furthermore the big deal about SSD is not the read speed it is the latency, and an SSD kills any harddrive on the market doesn't matter if it is 7.2k , 10k (such as the Velociraptor) or SAS 15k drives.
Finally SSD benefits everyone equally, gamers would receive no more benefit than the average internet browser.
