Yeah, this is the first time in about 15 years I've had any real involvement at all in this holiday after just recently joining an extended family that contains small children. I rediscovered a lot of the enjoyment that comes with the holiday when in certain situations, albeit in a slightly saccharine "Aww aren't tiny kids in costumes just too cute" sort of manner. It is acceptable, though memories of college "Halloween is an excuse for women to find any outfit and make it slutty" will probably dominate for the foreseeable future.
