Ah. One more reason not to live in NYC Francie Send a noteboard - 02/11/2010 12:26:40 AM
So ... I had work, Greenwich Ave, I usually walk down it and cross 6th ave to get into the subway. Yesterday, I walked down Greenwich ave, surrounded by tons of silly costumes, and get ot sixth ave and can't get across. Parade. It was quite inconvenient. (And if you saw how woman (not little girls, mostly just 20-30 year old woman) dress, you'd understand Tom's comment about how people love to get laid.

I mean, one of the workers at my job dressed in an outfit that quite literally resembled a hooker's outfit. Super-mini red plaid skirt, black shirt only buttoned at the breast line ... black pantyhose were the only reason she could wear it to work and not be completely obscene.

My roommate was playing music on Jones St., not far from my job, (he was getting paid, it was a gig). It took him 1.5 hours to get home driving from Manhattan to Williamsburg. It's usually a 20 minute trip. My other roommate tried to go to his gig but couldn't walk across the st because of the parade and all the blocked off roads.

It's inconvenient to say the least.

Yeah, it's totally different here.

I think the more plausible you believe something to be, the scarier it is... so that won't work. - 01/11/2010 12:15:04 AM 864 Views
