I'm not so certain that there isn't ANY money in it for the right private industry. Marketing, rights to images and recordings, not to mention potential for future growth. It is certainly high, high risk. That is why they are seeking 'eccentric billionaire' sort of support.

Personally, I don't think we see something like this happen for 20 years or more. But, it is interesting that something like this is even being discussed.
