Whether you approved of his acting or not (I quite like it for the most part and have Ghost, Dirty Dancing and Red Dawn in my collection) he was also a good man.
Not stuck up, or ridiculous, devoted to the love of his life for all his life - he was a good guy. The kind of guy you'd like to work on a roof with and have a beer afterward. A regular guy.
He'll be missed - and I wonder how I'll be able to explain, someday, that he's gone to my three year old who will watch Dirty Dancing over and over and over again just for the music. Obviously she won't get it now, but in some years she may.
