Don't have any personal experience with the Galaxy Tab but Android wasn't made (yet) for tablets. This is why Samsung has so much of their own custom software running on top of Android 2.2

The Android that is made for tablets is Android 3.0 and it is expected to be released sometime in the January to April range of 2011. Most vendors are waiting to release their products till after Android 3.0 comes out, and thus there will be an explosion of new choices at the time. Furthermore many of these new choices for tablets will be sporting Tegra 2 which will be a dual core cortex A9 running at 1 ghz instead of a single core cortex A8 at 1 ghz.


But since I want to surprise my hubby with this for Christmas, none of those help me :D I guess I could wait until his birthday in Feb, but what if they're still not available then? Plus I feel like if I get into that "just wait until the next device comes out" game then I will never buy one...
