The Galaxy Tab screen is 6 inches wide and 3.6 inches tall (21.6 square inches). 7 Inches with an aspect ratio that is almost 16:9 (128/75)
The Ipad screen is approximately 7.75 inches wide and 5.8 inches tall (45 square inches). 9.7 inches diagonal and has an 4:3 aspect ratio.

The Galaxy Tab will have "less wasted" space when watching widescreen movies but the picture will still look better on the ipad for it will be about 2 inches wider. The Galaxy Tab will be much easier to carry (its weight is about half as well as the dimensions).

The Ipad will be much more natural for webpages.
