I try to avoid drinking more than half a litre per day. Obviously, I don't drink that much every time I drink and I don't drink every day. For example, I drank about 200 mL of Vodka on Thursday and probably about 100 mL of Auchentoshan scotch last night, but nothing on Friday.

I recommend not drinking more than that.
Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.
