the fact that people think that because they are your facebook "friends" that there is some kind of real connection there.

But there's not.

They don't talk TO you, they read your posts.

They are like lurkers in your life.

They are only vaguely interested in you. Not enough to pick up a phone or put pen to paper, but only enough to see and then dismiss you. They can pick you up and put you back on your tidy little shelf without ever having to get messy by actually being a part of your life.

It's unnatural.

It's like I have become a character in a book that someone else is reading.
