The people I've hidden are a collection family members and high school acquaintances who I either don't care about or have irritating statuses or whatever. They friended me, so we can be friends if they want, but I don't particularly want them on my newsfeed.

I've also hidden dumb applications like Farmville, the reasons for which go without saying.
