His arguments don't real support his conclusion they are just easy for a lot of people to agree and they seem some what related so they sound good. It isn't helicopter parents and hand sanitizer that are the problem (I am sure people laughed at all those parents making their kids brush their as well). Kids today are soft because they spend all their time sitting on the ass being entertained.

As for the rising level of anxiety at our college system I would think the fact that some many more students go is part of the problem. A lot of the kids in our university system really shouldn't be there.
