It's heavily implied throughout, even to the point of calling Hitler a liberal, despite the fact that all his support within and outside Germany came from the right and all his opposition from the left. Everyone bad is yours, everyone good is ours. If only life were that simple.

Not being a CNN viewer or Times reader I can't speak to that; the only such comments the article posted here references is Krugmans op ed. Weren't you the one who was telling me just last week that Fox isn't responsible for Glenn Becks "opinions" (even "opinions" stated as demonstrably false "facts"?) Naetheless, I condemn extremism in all forms, and from all factions, which includes the one with which I otherwise identify: I generally support liberal policy, but never extremism, liberal or otherwise, because it DOES encourage dehumanizing ones opposition, be it left or right, and thereby rationalizing any atrocity against it. That's not what I think happened in AZ, at all, but it DOES happen, on both ends of the political spectrum.
