Already we are hearing talk of reintroducing the fairness doctrine (which is designed to silence conservative talk radio) and of banning political hate speech. By the way calling someone socialist is considered political hate speech by calling them a wingnut on attacking their family is just spirited debate. The left thinks they were derailed in their agenda for the last two years because people were worked up by the tea party by what they see as lies. No matter that they are working themselves up over the lie that political rhetoric played a role in this tragedy. Even when they openly admit it had nothing to with they refuse to back down from the claim that it is grounds to silence their opponents.

You may want to be open to the idea that the left is using this disaster to forward their long standing goal to silence what they consider unhelpful voices on the right. Why do you thing the average liberal starts frothing at the mere mention of Fox News. They can’t tolerate dissenting voices. If you notice they may make the claim that both sides are at fault but they soon temper that by claiming the real problem is on the right and they have infinite capacity to ignore tone issues on the left. With MSNBC we have a cable network dedicated to attacking the right and even the comedy network has two shows who spend most of time ridiculing the right. Those are fine but Rush he is inciting murder. When you dig into heir claims of hate speech it bullshit that they are just as guilty of so that in and of it self should tell you there is more going on. Palin used a gunsite instead of a bullseye like they used to target opponents. That is actually what they are worked up stuff as stupid as that.

This more then smacks of political censorship of the worst sort I don’t care how much they try and paint it as concern for violence. Let them stop demanding change and start leading be example. I would go so far as to say their present actions are the most un-American acts I have seen by a political party in my lifetime and the fact that our media is complicit in this censorship is beyond disgusting. You don’t get to win through censoring opposition. It has gotten to point where today places like Politico are attacking Palin for being so tasteless as to defend herself from their slander during this time of national tragedy. When they start pulling crap like that you have wonder are they just stupid or do the simply think the rest of our and they can say whatever they like. The fact than an ABC poll shows that a third of American’s believe still believe them at least defends their idea that we are to stupid to not be lied to.
