That perfectly encapsulates the difference between striving for purity from within, as opposed to superficial and hypocritical purity only when others can see what you are doing (like the guy that is the subject of this thread).

In other words, you must strive for pure thougths first and foremost, and then pure actions will flow from that.

Of course, none of us can achieve that, because we are imperfect, but we must forever be striving to achieve it nevertheless.
