Recent events I fully expected to be posted about here:

- Patriot Act not extended

- the Planned Parenthood undercover videos

- Egypt

as just 2 examples. Is it b/c you don't care, or because you're European?


To be a pedant, that was three examples. ;)

I see little value in posting about such things, when I can gauge with a fair degree of accuracy exactly who will reply and what their response will be. If anything, when I do make such a post it's because I'm specifically seeking a person or several peoples' perspective (regarding my Chipotle post, I was looking for Tom's and randomthoughts' ).

Also, I was greatly discouraged at the lack of participation in my attempt at a community-building post early in January asking people how their life had changed over the previous year. To go to the effort of posting regularly seems futile.
