The Dog Days are Over by Florence + The Machine. 'twas my pump-up song for finals week last semester. I found it very uplifting and nice kick in the pants when I started feeling crappy because of exams.

But sadly from 2009
FAIL !!1!

What song (trying to limit it to a single song) has meant the most to you over the last year? I'm not talking about music that you necessarily listen to on a regular basis, but more along the lines of music that you've heard over the past year (a new song or a song that you have heard for years, but you have found deeper meaning in it) that touches an emotion/spiritual chord in you.
I am sorry jens, but it is you who FAIL!!!!
What should I do? Edit my reply? Then I make you look like someone who's talking nonsense. Dilemma, dilemma

You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.

Sorry, I listen to music for the music, not the words. *NM*

There can still be an emotional/spiritual connection with just music.

True. But you seemed to be specifically speaking about songs with lyrics. *NM*
