When 30 of 30 individuals in bankruptcy court are black and/or Hispanic, then you are seeing a problem where race plays a factor. If by saying "I doubt it is race related in this case" you are saying you don't think it's genetic, then I agree with you and I was not trying at any point to imply that it was. However, from a socioeconomic perspective, there is certainly something at work.


I wasn't thinking about the genetics, I was thinking that you'll find a larger amount of bankruptcies in any group that is historically poor. You can make a racist argument that a larger percentage of blacks and hispanics in history have been poor; but I am not certain that is true either, and seems more to me like we are painting with a broad brush. I can certainly see how they'd be overrepresented in a court like that, but I think you'll see a larger correlation in a socio-economic background check if you look at a larger scale.
