He was a friend from high school. I was NOT impressed.


She is more like someone I know and was nice enough to friend. But, anyway, she is always posting Bible quotes, Christian music videos and the like and talking about prayer meetings, etc. She posted this message about why would we donate anything to Japan when we have so many needs here. How about taking care of our own first?
While I agree we should take care of "our own" I also realize that sometimes our allies and even those not our good allies need help. And that is frankly, a more secular opinion. I wanted soooo bad to post something in terms of "Is that how Jesus would respond to the Japanese people?" but I withheld. But I was really tempted for a moment. ;)
But wine was the great assassin of both tradition and propriety...
