I know someone, with an iPhone, who keeps getting texts from someone they don't want to get texts from.
They should call their service provider - they can do it easily. People get weird and nuisance calls all the time so the providers have to allow numbers to be blocked. I don't know if there's a specific function on the iPhone that allows you to block from the device, but I doubt it.

You should be able to do that with any phone or network.

There is a service offered which includes call blocking, but I believe it costs an extra $5 a month. *NM*

There isn't... but AT&T will block a number.
