Oh Sareitha Sedai Send a noteboard - 16/03/2011 06:04:43 PM
Maybe...

So I finally went to the doctor to find out why I've been feeling so crappy this winter, and hopefully get something to treat the Sinus Infection from Hell. But after seeing the doctor, I find out that I don't have a sinus infection at all.

I have allergies.

At the age of 30, I have suddenly developed allergies.

I haven't seen an allergist yet, so I don't know what I'm allergic to yet, but I am terrified that it is going to turn out to be cats.

I can't live without cats. I can't bear to part with Jens and Sven. I don't know what to do if I turn out to be allergic to them. I've heard that some people who are allergic to cats manage their allergies and keep the cats, but I don't know how common it is or how well it works.

Anyone else go through something similar? Any advice for me if I turn out to be allergic to one of my favorite things in the world?

(no I'm not getting rid of them and getting a goldfish )

Well, maybe it's something else. Can you pinpoint it to starting when something else in your environment changed? I will hope that's it. Otherwise have a frank discussion with your allergist about managing it and the success/advisability of that.

I'd do everything I could to keep my kitties too. I understand.

If you are from Betelgeuse, please have one of your Earth friends read what I've written before you respond. Or try concentrating harder.

"The trophy problem has become extreme."

If it's remaining alive or keeping the cats, I'd remain alive. - 16/03/2011 05:55:05 PM 837 Views

I'd rather be attacked by a squirrel than be allergic to cats *NM* - 17/03/2011 07:13:21 PM 348 Views
