We had just under 3 ft of snow on the ground, and it has been melting FAST the last 3 days. We still have about 6 inches to go, excepting the big piles of it that we've had to stash everywhere. But at least they're getting smaller!

I've ordered chooks. Yes, I'm crazy. No, there's no turning back, the order's been placed already. I have to get the brooder/nursery ready for 15 babies, providing they all survive the trip in the cardboard box. Designing the coop now. I'll need it by Mid-May. I'm hoping the freakin snow melts and the mud dries up so we can get the thing built or I'll have to put the chickens in the storage shed with the tools. .
