1. How old where you when you got your first job?
16. My mom MADE me get one immediately!
2. What was your first job?
Unstuffing shoes at K-mart. Blech.
Well that was the first REAL one. I had done some babysitting and waiting tables for a monthly senior's dinner that I got paid for but they were not really jobs.
3. How long did you work there?
Few months. I hated being in that horrible back room all alone. But then I got a job at Pizza Hut that I kept for NINE YEARS!
4. What's the oldest person you know who is (or was) sponging off their parents still (I do NOT mean college students, but say that guy down the street who lets his gf pay for their fun, and lives with his mom - all while not going to school or working for no other reason than... he doesn't feel like getting a job)
Me.
Ugh.
No! Wait! I have a job so it's not really so bad. It's a full-time gig too. I just live with my parents like a loser.
5. (If you live in a part of the world where you have to drive) How old were you when you got your driver's license?
18
6. Did you wait way past the time when you COULD get your license?
Yes. My mom yanked the wheel out of my hand once when I was 16 and I refused to drive for a while after that. Most of the places I went (work/church) were within walking distance.
7. Did you graduate from college?
Yes.
8. What did you major in?
Church Communication Arts with an Emphasis in Drama
And for my M.A.- Theatre
9. Did you get a job in your field?
Not yet.
10. If not, what do you do? Did you need a degree to get this job?
I can't say exactly, but I teach people how to use computers and, no. I do not, but it helps. ^_^
