I have a desktop, a laptop and a netbook as well. I'm not really feeling the draw of the tablet PC yet, but that may come.
I love my smartphone. It's the only piece of tech I carry with me on a daily basis. It lets me make phonecalls, take pictures, listen to music, look things up online, add things to my diary and reminds me to actually go to those appointments, make shopping lists and to-do lists, kill time while commuting/waiting for something with Facebook, Twitter, stupid games, or mindless browsing; it compensates for my complete and utter lack of a sense of direction with its satnav, lets me check bus times so I don't get stuck waiting for a bus in the rain in the rural, poorly served by public transport area I live in, compare prices in shops for stuff I want to buy so I don't get ripped off, stops me having to print out e-ticket confirmation codes on bits of paper I'll immediately lose....I could go on. For the terminally disorganised, a smartphone - provided you can keep track of where you've put it down
