I was recently down in Washington DC to look for a new apartment. I used my smartphone as a GPS, I used it to email the Criagslist ads that I'd be coming, I used it as a phone to call people when I had to do some schedule swapping, I used it to quickly do a bank transfer when I was about to put down a payment, I used it to fill out an online background check thing, I used it to surf the web when I was bored during lunch...


Once I build my bank account up a bit, I see my ideal computing environment as follows: A high end desktop for gaming, writing papers, etc. A tablet for when I want to lounge around the house and read something (be it an ebook or an article or watch videos or something). And a smartphone for when I'm out of the house.
I amuse myself.
