I was looking up a word in my big German-English Dictionary when I noticed what may be the funniest word in German. It is:

Muckefuck

And apparently it means a coffee substitute. And you thought "Sanka" was weird enough...

I thought to myself, "If I drank coffee, and if I were to want a substitute, there is no way that I could say 'ich möchte etwas Muckefuck, bitte' with a straight face. I would start laughing."

Hence, this survey. It is short and simple, so that everyone can get back to their Muckefuck.

1. Name a word in a foreign language that you think sounds funny.

Spánky (Spánek in dictionary form). The first time I heard/read it while listening to a Martin? song, I sort of laughed. Of course, it means sleep.

2. Name a word in a foreign language you do not like.

Tvrdí ... meaning hard ... which is too hard to say. Or that other awful one. ?ty?í. Always derails my counting. Words that start with St? ... like the word for silver, cant think of it off the top of my head.

3. Name a word or phrase in your own language you do not like.

Diminution, I always mangle it. I say Diminiminution or something. Philosophical, I get the accents backwards, like, (fil - OS - o - FIK - il) as opposed to (FIL - o -SOPH - ik - il).
